What is IVF(In Vitro Fertilization)?

After fertilization, one or more embryos (fertilized egg) are allowed to grow in a protected environment for some days and   then transferred to uterus. Usually IVF takes about three weeks but sometimes these steps can split into parts due to which the process can take longer time.
